Thrive Peer Recovery Services and The Centers Announce a New Collaboration to Expand Peer Support Services at the Glick Recovery Campus

The new collaboration will build a peer support workforce to strengthen crisis care, recovery connection, and discharge planning ahead of a September 2026 crisis center launch.

Cleveland, Ohio Thrive Peer Recovery Services is proud to announce a new collaboration with The Centers to integrate Peer Recovery Support Services at the Glick Recovery Campus, a behavioral health crisis center, in Cuyahoga County. This collaboration represents a significant step forward in expanding access to peer-led recovery support in crisis care settings while also creating new workforce opportunities for individuals with lived experience.

As part of the launch, Thrive will lead the recruitment and training of a dedicated workforce to support the new program, including Peer Recovery Supporters and leadership roles needed to help establish 24/7 coverage at the crisis center.

“This collaboration reflects our commitment to expanding recovery-oriented services in spaces where people need support most,” said Brian Bailys, Thrive CEO. “By bringing peer support into the crisis care setting, we have an opportunity to strengthen recovery connection, improve continuity of care, and create meaningful career pathways for individuals who want to turn lived experience into service. We are thrilled to engage with The Centers on this important initiative.”

“We know that clinical care stabilizes, but lived experience heals. Adding peer support professionals to our crisis center team aligns directly with SAMHSA best practices and represents a transformative step forward in how we serve our community. This ensures that every individual reaching out for help is met with immediate, profound empathy from someone who has successfully navigated their own journey through crisis,” said Eric L. Morse, President and CEO, The Centers.

Community partners, workforce development organizations, and local referral networks are encouraged to help share the employment opportunities and amplify awareness of the new collaboration. By working together, Thrive and The Centers aim to build both immediate staffing momentum and longer-term awareness of the important role peer support plays in crisis care and recovery.
